It is understood that there are nearly 1,000 cashmere processing companies of various sizes in China. The annual production capacity of cashmere sweaters has exceeded 40 million. The cashmere products produced from the initial ordinary knitted cashmere sweaters are now developed from underwear to outerwear and from knitting to Woven, a full range of products from apparel to home textiles.

“But the development of product quality in the industry is not balanced. The main difference is that the product quality of different brands in the market is quite different. According to reports, the value of cashmere is affected by three factors: fineness, length and color. The fineness of cashmere in the international textile industry requires the diameter of 13.0 to 16.0 μm to be the best. In the international market, cashmere with the diameter of less than 16.0 μm and long in length is the most expensive, and the unit price increases with the diameter. The color is divided into white velvet, green velvet and purple velvet, among which the white velvet is the most precious and only accounts for about 30% of the world's cashmere output.
