Economic Analysis of Printing and Dyeing Industry in the First Half of 2010 - 4

Imports: From January to May, the import volume of six categories of printing and dyeing products was 673 million meters, a year-on-year decrease of 7.10%, a decrease of 6.89 percentage points from January to February, a year-on-year decrease of 11.66 percentage points, and an import amount of 1.012 billion dollars, a year-on-year decrease. 0.44%, a decrease of 11.08 percentage points from January to February, narrowed by 20.12% year-on-year; average unit price of imports was 1.50 USD/meter, an increase of 7.17% year-on-year.

The situation of imported products. In the six categories of printing and dyeing, the import volume of pure cotton printed cloth and cotton blended printed cloth increased by 15.23% and 13.71%, respectively, while the other four types of products still decreased in different ranges. In addition to cotton blended dyed fabrics and synthetic filament fabrics With the increase in the unit price of imports, the export unit prices of other four categories of products have dropped slightly.

Imported countries/regions. The top five markets for the import of printing and dyeing cloths are: China's Taiwan region, South Korea, China's mainland, Japan and China's Hong Kong SAR. The number of imported products in the five markets accounted for 90.64% of the total imports. The highest unit price of fabric imported from Japan was 3.44. USD/m is 2.29 times the average unit price of imported fabrics; the unit price of imported fabrics from South Korea is at the average import unit price level; the unit prices imported from China's Hong Kong and Taiwan regions are low, equivalent to 60% and 66% of the average import unit prices, respectively.
