Iran will implement Iranian code on imported goods from March 21

The Iranian News reported on March 2 that the director of the Iranian Institute of Standardization and Industry told the media that Iran will only allow imports from goods using the Iranian code from this year's New Year (March 21). The purpose of implementing the Iranian code for imported goods is to prevent the import of non-standard products and unqualified products and to curb increasingly rampant smuggling activities.

After the implementation of the Iranian code, dealers and retailers of imported goods will be responsible for the quality of the imported goods they distribute, and those that are not marked with the Iranian code will be treated as smuggled goods.
